We collect: your email address (for authentication), business information you enter into the wizard (business name, EIN, address, owner information), documents you upload (DD-214 PDFs processed by AI and not stored), certification status you self-report, and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see your card number).
We use your information to: provide the Waypoint service, send you certification reminders and status updates, generate personalized documents, and improve the product. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
When you use AI features (narrative generation, DD-214 extraction, etc.), your data is sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. Uploaded PDFs are processed and discarded — we store only the extracted fields, not the original file.
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway.app in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest.
We send: magic link sign-in emails, certification reminders, expiry alerts, and weekly opportunity digests. You can manage email preferences in your Settings page. You can request deletion of your account and data by emailing support@waypointfederal.com.
